Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival Cairo & Cairo City Tour (Optional Excursion)

Welcome to Egypt, the land of the Pharaohs! Upon your arrival at Cairo Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. For the remainder of the day, you can relax by the hotel pool or, if you arrive early, you may choose to join our unique Backstreets tour of Cairo. This optional tour departs the hotel at 10am and takes you off the beaten track in Egypt's bustling capital. You will visit Downtown Cairo, the exquisite mosques and monuments of El Moez Street in Islamic Cairo, Garbage City, and the incredible Cave Church of St. Simon.

Day 2: Grand Egyptian Museum & Royal Mummy Hall

- Grand Egyptian Museum, after breakfast, We will start our day with a guided tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which boasts a massive exhibition containing the treasures of King Tutankhamun and much more.

- Royal Mummy Hall, then we head over to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to visit the Royal Mummies' Hall, where you can see the remarkably well preserved mummies of powerful pharaohs. This incredible hall contains 20 mummies in total including King Ramses II and Queen Hatshepsut. Following the tour, we’ll return to the hotel where the rest of the day is free for you to relax by the pool.

Day 3: Pyramids of Giza & Necropolis of Saqqara

- Pyramids of Giza, check out after breakfast at your hotel. Visit Egypt’s most famous site today with a guided tour of the legendary Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. The largest of the pyramids, Cheops, was the tallest man-made structure on Earth for 3,800 years and you’ll gaze in awe at this Ancient Wonder of the World. If you’re feeling brave, you may opt to go inside one of the pyramids . and visit Valley Temple facing the great statue. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant, then proceed to Saqqara.

- Saqqara Complex, then we will continue to the necropolis of Saqqara, home to the famous Pyramid of Zhoser. This ancient monument dates back to around 2700BC and is surrounded by countless tombs and burial sites. After our tour, we return to the hotel.

Day 4: Mersa Matruh - Arrival Siwa

- Mersa Matruh At 06:00 am will drive for a 4-hour drive from Cairo, with a single stop at a rest house halfway through, we will reach the beautiful Mediterranean city of Marsa Matrouh where we can have breakfast. Enjoy your meal while taking in the scenic drive along the Corniche area. After breakfast, we will resume driving for another 4 hours with a rest stop at a rest house until we reach Fontas Island. Relax with a cup of tea and take in the stunning sunset before heading to your hotel to rest after the long drive.

Day 5: Shali Fortress & Temple of the Oracle & Salty lake & Cleopatra's Pool & Great Sand Sea&

- Shali Fortress Explore Siwa's Shali Fort, an ancient town built on a hill and surrounded by a protective wall. Inhabited for almost 8 centuries, the maze of mud-brick buildings served as a hub for the oasis people who lived in narrow quarters and shared living spaces with their animals. This historic site offers a fascinating glimpse into the past and the resourcefulness of those who lived here. Don't miss it!

- Temple of the Oracle Explore the Temple of the Oracle of Amun/Aghurmi, where Alexander the Great is said to have sought confirmation of his divine parentage as the son of Zeus. Discover the temple's immense historical significance and its connection to the Greek god of gods, with your tour guide providing fascinating insights into its past.

- Salty lake Experience, a delightful and refreshing swim in the salt lakes, where the high salt content makes it easy to float, regardless of your swimming abilities. Choose the clearest and most pristine lake to swim in, being cautious to avoid getting water in your eyes. Day 6: Museum of Siwan Traditions & Hot and Cold spring & Dakrur Mountain & Mountain of the Dead

- The Hot and Cold spring Bir Waheed, the Bir Waheed hot and cold spring in Siwa is a natural wonder that offers both hot and cold water sources in one place. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing swim in the hot spring and refresh themselves with a dip in the nearby cold spring. It's an ideal location to unwind and appreciate the beauty of nature.

- Mountain of the Dead (Gebel Al Mawta), is a striking conical mountain located just north of Shali, featuring ancient tombs dating back to the Pharaoh, Ptolemaic, and Roman periods. Carved skillfully into the mountain's side, the tombs are a marvel to behold, showcasing both beauty and historical significance. The Si Amun Tomb is particularly noteworthy for its stunning beauty among the four tombs at this site. This is a must-visit location for anyone interested in ancient civilizations and history.

- Dakrur Mountain, visiting Dakrour Mountain offers a rare opportunity to witness Siwan traditions and customs, including a significant annual event. - Black Mountains After breakfast, drive to the Black Mountains to visit its black volcanic hills. The mountains got their name from a layer of black powder and rocks that covered the desert. The volcanic substance jasper, produced by past eruptions, was used to create the black rocks.

Day 8: El Qasr Village & Deir El Hagar & Yellow desert

- El Qasr Village, El Qasr Village features several multi-story mud brick buildings constructed during the Ottoman and Mamluk periods. These buildings stand on stone blocks with hieroglyphic inscriptions that were transported from the Temple of Thoth in nearby Al-Amhadah (Trimethis City).

- Deir El Hagar The temple of Deir El Hagar showcases cartouches belonging to the four emperors, with additional Roman rulers also having contributed to the adornment of the temple. The latest inscription discovered within the temple dates back to the third century AD. The entire temple complex is enclosed by a remarkably well-preserved stone barrier made of mud-brick.

Day 10: Temple of Karnak & Luxor Temple

- Temple of Karnak In the morning after Breakfast you will transfer to the Nile Cruise, before lunch, you will visit Luxor East Bank Side, Visit - Karnak's temples, built during different reigns, via carriage or bus. Start with the Avenue of Sphinxes, then explore the Unfinished Propylon and Hypostyle Hall with 134 massive columns. You'll see the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis III, the intricate lotus and papyrus designs of the temple of Amon, the Granite Scarbeus of Amenophis III, and the Sacred Lake. After afternoon tea, enjoy dinner on board and spend the night in Luxor.

Day 11: Valley of the Kings & Colossi of Memnon & Temple of Hatshepsut

Your itinerary will include a trip to the renowned Valley of the Kings, the magnificent Colossi of Memnon, and the striking Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. The Valley of the Kings excursion will offer you an unparalleled opportunity to explore tombs from different dynasties and to visit the impressive Temple of Deir El Bahari.

Day 12: Temple of Horus & Temple of Kom Ombo

Dedicated to the deity Horus of Behedet, this ancient temple is a magnificent example of Ptolemaic temple construction in Egypt, celebrated for its impressive state of preservation and completeness. Spanning over 140 meters from south to north, and covering an area of around 7000 square meters.

- Temple of Kom Ombo, after a delicious lunch on board, you will visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, an exceptional structure dedicated to two gods - Sobek and Haroeris. Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder, have identical entrances, hypostyle halls, and sanctuaries, reflecting the mythical relationship between them. Following your visit, take some time to relax with an afternoon tea before returning to the ship for dinner.

Day 13: Philae Temple & Aswan High Dam

- Philae Temple After savoring a delightful breakfast on board, you will set off to visit the enchanting Temple of Philae, which is dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple has been relocated by UNESCO to a picturesque location that has been landscaped to mimic its original site. After enjoying a scrumptious lunch on board, you can experience a relaxing felucca ride on the Nile River around Kitchener's Island and the Agha Khan Mausoleum.

- Aswan High Dam The rock-fill dam is located at the northern border of Egypt and Sudan and is fed by the Nile River, forming the impressive Lake Nasser. Construction on the project began in 1960, and it was completed in 1968, with an official inauguration in 1971. The investment in the construction of the Aswan High Dam was significant. Later in the afternoon, you can unwind with some tea before relishing dinner on board.
