After exploring this historical site, we bid farewell to Aswan and journey to Luxor, with a stop along the way to visit the temple of Kom Ombo. The northern half of this temple was dedicated to the falcon god Horus, while the southern half was dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. As we explore, the perfect symmetry of the two halves may make you feel like you're seeing double.

This morning, we explore Luxor's legendary West Bank, home to the renowned Valley of the Kings, the impressive colonnaded temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the colossal Colossi of Memnon. Witness how the ancient Egyptians thwarted tomb robbers through the creation of intricate catacombs, once adorned with treasures and ornate decorations, designed to guide the pharaoh to the afterlife.
The day unfolds with an afternoon visit to the monumental Karnak Temple, a breathtaking complex that took 1,500 years to complete. Karnak features a stunning array of sanctuaries, pylons, chapels, halls, and obelisks.
