Following breakfast, your day begins with a drive to Madaba, a city renowned for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. Here, you will visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, home to the celebrated 6th-century mosaic map depicting Jerusalem and the Holy Land—the oldest surviving cartographic representation of the region.
We then continue to Mount Nebo, one of Jordan’s most revered religious sites. Tradition holds this to be the place where Moses viewed the Promised Land before his passing. From the mountaintop, you will enjoy sweeping views of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and on clear days, even as far as Jerusalem. The visit also includes a stop at the ancient monastery that has stood here for centuries.
The journey then takes you to the world-famous Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Known since antiquity for its therapeutic waters and mineral-rich mud, the Dead Sea has attracted visitors for thousands of years, including historical figures such as Queen Cleopatra and the Queen of Sheba. Take time to float effortlessly on its buoyant waters, indulge in a mud treatment, or simply relax along the shore. Afterward, we return to Amman for an evening at leisure.
