Embark on a Journey of Pharaonic Wonders: Explore Cairo, Alexandria and Nile Cruise Marvels 9-day tour, in Alexandria, where you’ll be captivated by the world’s largest library, the Library of Alexandria. Explore the Roman Amphitheater and uncover sunken treasures from the East harbor. Visit Africa’s oldest church, St. Mark’s, and wander through the historic downtown area. Admire the grandeur of the Abbo Elabbas Mosque before gazing upon the majestic Quaitbay Castle, perched atop the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Conclude your Alexandria experience with a visit to Montaza Gardens, where you’ll stroll through King Farouk’s royal grounds and cross the iconic Montaza Bridge.

Next, in Cairo, where you’ll unravel the mysteries of the past by standing before the iconic Pyramids of Giza and pondering the enigma of the Sphinx. Dive into the rich history housed within the Egyptian Museum, home to priceless treasures from Tutankhamun’s tomb, including his iconic mask, alongside a diverse collection of mummies, statues, and invaluable relics.

Then, journey to Luxor and revel in the scenic vistas during your 4-night stay aboard a luxurious 5-star Nile Cruise. Sail along the Nile, passing ancient tombs and temples en route to Aswan, where you’ll witness the timeless rhythm of rural Egyptian life along the riverbanks, a living tableau of tradition and tranquility. Luxor, renowned as the world’s grandest open-air museum, boasts an array of captivating sites on both banks of the Nile. Explore the underground Pharaonic tombs in the Valley of the Kings and marvel at the grandeur of the Karnak temple complex, including a mesmerizing nighttime view of Luxor Temple.

Continue your cruise journey southward, with stops at the temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo, where echoes of ancient rituals still resonate. Arrive in Aswan, where you’ll encounter the unfinished obelisk and the breathtaking Philae Temple, an exquisite dedication to the goddess Isis. For the adventurous, an optional early morning excursion to Abu Simbel’s magnificent temples is available.

As your journey nears its end, we’ll return to Cairo. Note, if you wish to extend your trip with some time at the Red Sea in Hurghada, it’s simple to add a few extra days.

Tour Plan

Day 1: WELCOME TO Egypt - Hotel Transfer

Welcome to Egypt! Upon your arrival at the airport, we will provide a transfer service to your hotel in Cairo. Take the remainder of the day to unwind and enjoy the amenities at your hotel, allowing yourself to fully relax.

Day 2: Alexandria Sightseeing

Today, your tour guide will be waiting you at the lobby of your hotel at 7:00 am in your hotel lobby for an exciting journey to Alexandria (approx.. 3hrs) drive away. We'll kick off with a visit to the Library of Alexandria, the world's largest, and explore the Roman Amphitheater showcasing sunken monuments from the East harbor.

Next, we'll tour the Church of St. Mark, Africa's oldest, and wander through Alexandria's historic downtown, where traditional markets.

Then, marvel at the grand Abbo Elabbas Mosque, set against the scenic corniche and old harbor, followed by a glimpse of the majestic Quaitbay Castle, built atop the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the seven wonders of ancient world. (Gorgeous castle and a great photo stop)

After a delicious lunch overlooking Alexandria's beaches, we'll continue to the Montaza Gardens, enjoy stunning views en route to Montaza Palace, where you'll explore King Farouk's royal gardens and the iconic Montaza Bridge, before returning via the famous Stanley Bridge to your Cairo hotel.

Day 3: Pyramids of Giza, Sphinx & Egyptian Museum

Embark on an exploration of Egypt's premier attractions today, marveling at the legendary Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx. The grandeur of Cheops, the largest pyramid, held the title of Earth's tallest structure for 3,800 years. The mystery of the ancient Egyptians' construction methods persists then we will continue to the The Egyptian Museum, is a treasure trove of ancient artifacts spanning millennia of Egyptian history. Home to an extensive collection of mummies, statues, and priceless relics, including the iconic mask of Tutankhamun it offers a fascinating journey through the wonders of ancient Egypt, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of this storied civilization. Following the tour, enjoy some relaxation at the hotel before we board the night train to Luxor in the evening. (Flight upgrade available)

Day 4: Nile Cruise & Luxor East Bank

Upon arriving in Luxor your guide will guide you to Luxor's East Bank, unveiling the magnificent Temple of Karnak—a testament to over 2000 years of history. Later, explore Luxor Temple, marveling at its grand courtyard and the imposing granite statues of Ramses the Great. Afterward, check in to your Nile Cruise and spend the rest of the day relaxing aboard your Nile Cruise or to venture out and explore the vibrant markets of Luxor.

Day 5: Luxor, West Bank Side

Today, we set off on an early morning expedition across the Nile to delve into Luxor's West Bank. This area holds the renowned Valley of the Kings, where ancient tombs continue to reveal their secrets, making it a globally significant archaeological site. Our agenda includes visits to several of these Pharaonic tombs, notably the magnificent burial chamber of King Tutankhamun. Additionally, we'll take a moment to admire the towering statues of Amenophis III, famously known as the Colossi of Memnon, which stand sentinel over the Nile.

As we continue our journey, we'll explore the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, also known as the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This remarkable temple was erected in honor of Hatshepsut, a prominent pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty. Nestled beneath the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari on the west bank of the Nile, near the Valley of the Kings, it stands as a testament to ancient Egyptian architectural brilliance. In the afternoon, the boat begins its journey along the Nile, passing through the lock at Esna before reaching Edfu, where we will spend the night.

For those seeking an extra dose of adventure, there's an optional opportunity for a stunning hot air balloon ride over Luxor's West Bank at dawn. This experience offers unparalleled views of the city's landmarks and landscapes.

Day 6: Edfu & Kom Ombo Temples

Savor a delightful onboard breakfast before embarking on a visit to the Temple of Horus in Edfu. This remarkable temple, dedicated to Horus of Behedet, stands as the epitome of Ptolemaic temple construction in Egypt. With its impressive size, spanning over 140m and covering approximately 7000m², it is a testament to architectural brilliance and remarkable preservation.

Indulge in a sumptuous lunch onboard as you make your way to the Temple of Kom Ombo. This unique temple, dedicated to both Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris, also known as Horus the Elder, offers a fascinating insight into ancient Egyptian mythology. Its symmetrical design, featuring two identical entrances, hypostyle halls, and sanctuaries, showcases the sacred connection between the two deities.

Day 7: Aswan Sightseeing, Philae Temple & Unfinished Obelisk

Awakening to the tranquil beauty of the Nile, we are greeted by idyllic views of islands and felucca sailing boats. Our day commences with a visit to the Temple of Philae, a tribute to the goddess Isis, nestled in a recreated setting resembling its original location. This relocation was orchestrated by UNESCO to safeguard it from the construction of the Aswan Dam, accessible only via a scenic boat journey.

Following this, we delve into the Unfinished Obelisk, located in the ancient stone quarries of Aswan. This monumental structure, believed to have been commissioned by Pharaoh Hatshepsut, stands as the largest known ancient obelisk.

The remainder of the day offers leisurely pursuits, with optional activities including a camel ride to St. Simeon's Monastery across the far bank of the Nile or a leisurely stroll through Aswan's lively souqs along the Corniche.

Day 8: Abu Simbel Temple & Nubian Village (Optional Excursion) & Transfer

Today, you have the option to embark on tours to either the awe-inspiring Abu Simbel temple, a remarkable rock-cut sanctuary. Here, you'll uncover the extraordinary architectural marvels crafted for King Ramesses II and Queen Nefertari, temples that not only boast unique designs but also hold profound historical significance. Alternatively, you may choose to visit a Nubian Village, gracefully nestled along the river's edge, where you can immerse yourself in Nubian life, culture, and traditions. Engage with a welcoming Nubian family, listen to captivating tales, and delve into the enduring legacy of the Nubian civilization, which once reigned over Egypt in the 8th century BCE.

Day 9: Arrival in Cairo, Free Time

After transferring you to your hotel in Cairo, today offers you the opportunity to indulge in leisurely pursuits or to partake in an optional half-day tour,. Immerse yourself in Cairo's cultural mosaic with a tour of ancient churches and synagogues in Coptic Cairo. Ascend to the Citadel for panoramic vistas, then delve into the vibrant tapestry of the Khan-el-Khalili bazaar's narrow alleys, brimming with treasures waiting to be discovered.

Day 10: Departure transfer to the airport

  1. We want to extend a massive thank you for the wonderful experience we had during our trip. Traveling as two families we opted for a private tour for our first visit to Egypt.

    Our tours were not only fascinating and informative but also personalized, with both drivers and guides accompanying us throughout our journey. In Alexandria, we explored ancient Roman theatre, Qaitbay Fort, Pompey’s Pillar, catacombs and Library of Alexandria, all of which showcased the city’s beauty and rich history.

    Our tour in Cairo was amazing. Our guide’s knowledge of ancient Egypt made the experience captivating and answered all of our questions. Riding the camel was a very beautiful experience.

    Continuing our tour to Luxor for the Nile Cruise trip from Luxor to Aswan the experience was absolutely amazing our guide, Omar, was exceptional, offering detailed descriptions of each excursion despite the early mornings, the excursions were thoroughly enjoyable and well worth the effort.
